Seniors Real Estate Specialist

What is a Seniors Real Estate Specialist?

The Seniors Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®) designation is for REALTORS® who want to be able to meet the special needs of maturing Americans when selling, buying, relocating, or refinancing residential or investment properties. By earning the SRES® designation, REALTORS® are prepared to approach mature clients with the best options and information for them to make life-changing decisions.

I have a special passion for assisting Seniors & Boomers in our communities with their real estate needs. It is my mission to make certain that all my clients have the information they need to make well informed decisions for themselves regarding real estate.

Many Seniors are looking to either down size, age in place in the home they have always lived in, move nearer to loved ones, or make a move to a Senior Living Community. But many don’t know what to do about first steps, and in which direction to go home wise.

So, in order to assist my Senior clients, I listen to my clients’ wants and needs, and then articulate what I hear them saying to me. Sometimes, we need to visit locations to see if what they wish, really is what they want to do. By moving through this process together, the clients come to a realization of what they want to do.

As part of my services, I have put together an extensive network of home care assistants, reverse mortgage lenders, elder care attorneys, estate planners, downsizing specialists, estate sales specialists, etc. who I am happy to share with my clients. Each advisor comes highly recommended to me by past clients, or via trusted sources, or I have worked with them personally.

Should a Senior wish to Age in Place, I have cultivated a team of professionals who can lend assistance in how to do this successfully by putting them in contact with home care specialists, and home modification specialists.

As an SRES, I work to listen to my Senior clients well, creating a customized approach to each situation: older homeowners planning life after retirement, transitioning from retirement with a companion to life alone, or contemplating selling the family home.
